The moment, captured on video, quickly went viral, igniting debates about decorum, authority, and political dynamics.

Governor Adeleke, who is known for blending his musical background with his political appearances, began to sing with background music shortly after taking the podium.

However, the First Lady, presiding over the event, grew visibly impatient and twice cut him off.

“I’m giving you five more minutes to finish your speech. The music is enough, that’s not what we are here for,” she warned around 25 seconds into the clip.

When the singing persisted, she escalated her directive, “I will turn off the microphone. Stop the music,” she said firmly at about 45 seconds.

Despite her warnings, Adeleke continued briefly, creating an awkward moment for attendees and viewers alike.

The clip sparked wide online reaction, with some interpreting it as a humorous clash of styles—Adeleke’s lively, engaging delivery versus Tinubu’s strict insistence on protocol—while others viewed it as a power struggle played out publicly.
