Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has issued a stern public warning to the Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023, Peter Obi following the latter’s recent visit to Edo State, where he donated ₦15 million to a local nursing school.

The Governor explicitly cautioned that Obi should not enter Edo State again without first obtaining his permission.
The donation by Peter Obi, was intended to support the development of the nursing school, yet it appears to have triggered controversy rather than celebration.
Okpebholo could be heard saying, “I’m sending a direct message to the man that claimed he didn’t have Shishi (Peter Obi), he shouldn’t come to Edo without telling me because his security will not be guaranteed and whatever happened to him when he’s in Edo State, he should take it.”
