Former Kano State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has called on former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, and former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to reconsider making commitments limited to just one term in office.

Speaking in an interview with Channel TV, he emphasised that four years is insufficient to implement substantial and lasting development policies.
Addressing the tendency of some politicians to promise change within a single term, El-Rufai argued that meaningful progress requires longer-term planning and sustained efforts beyond the typical four-year tenure.
He urged political leaders to adopt a more realistic approach to governance timelines to ensure durable results for the Nigerian people.
