Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, labeling his leadership a “massacre network” that demands immediate international intervention amid escalating conflicts in Gaza and with Iran.

In a speech, Erdogan said, “The massacre network led by Netanyahu must be stopped immediately for the sake of regional peace and humanity. Every country should take a brave and proactive stance on this issue.”

He continued, emphasising the urgency, “Without further destruction, without shedding more blood, without allowing more hostility to arise — and, in addition to all of this, without causing damage to the global economy that will take years to repair — this meaningless and unlawful war must end.

“The door to dialogue must be opened, and a result-oriented negotiation process must begin immediately.”

The remarks echo Erdogan’s repeated criticisms of Israel since late 2024, as tensions have boiled over into broader regional strife, including recent Gaza operations and Iranian frontlines.

Erdogan’s call amplifies Turkey’s push for de-escalation, positioning Ankara as a vocal mediator in the crisis.
