Video: Ex-Living Faith pastor, David Abioye launches new church

David Abioye, a well-known Nigerian pastor and former Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has officially established his new ministry, “Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly,” signifying a new phase in his spiritual leadership.

The announcement occurred during the church’s first Sunday service on May 4, when Abioye addressed a large, eager audience.

In a video from the service that has gained widespread attention, Abioye emphasised that the creation of Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly was not based on human ideas or aspirations, but rather a directive from God.

He said, “May I make it very clear that the inauguration of this assembly is not in response to demands of people to start a church, but by the emergence of God’s eternal purpose, ordained from the foundation of the world, which is just coming to light at his own time.

“This is simply an offshoot of the church of Jesus Universal, which keeps expanding and spreading across the globe in furtherance of the great commission as commanded in Matthew 28 verses 18-20, and several other gospels. Of which I consider myself a messenger of a fraction, as no one as a person can fulfil the entire great commission.

“On this final note, and to the glory of God, this assembly with the name ” Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly “, is hereby inaugurated this day, Sunday, 4th May 2025, in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, for the spiritual development, edification and triumph of the saints globally and let someone join me to say a loud Amen.

“May I, therefore, welcome you specially to Conquerors Global Assembly, and everyone who witnesses this today will not cease to conquer in all affairs of your life, you’ll be named more than conquerors.

“This means stepping into this assembly, is stepping out of failure, stepping out of defeat, stepping out of calamities, stepping into endless triumph, say with me Conquerors Global Assembly, that’s where you are now, in Jesus’ name.”
