The Federal Government plans to allocate N712 billion for the renovation of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport terminal.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, announced that the rehabilitation will involve completely dismantling the terminal to its structural framework and overhauling all systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
Keyamo stated, “We are going to strip it down to only the carcass and then do the complete M and A again, mechanical, plumbing, everything to have a brand new airport.”
According to the minister, the overhaul will take 22 months to complete at a projected cost of over N712bn.
