Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has gifted the Super Falcons coach, Justin Madugu, with a three-bedroom bungalow and a cash gift of N50 million in recognition of his role in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The honour was conferred during a ceremony at the Government House in Yola, as announced in a Facebook post by a media aide to the governor, Pius Iliya.
The post also featured a photo of Governor Fintiri presenting the award to Coach Madugu.
Madugu, an indigene of Adamawa State, played a key role in the Super Falcons’ successful campaign in Morocco, where the team clinched their record-extending 10th WAFCON title.
“Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, has gifted Justine Pwanidi Madugu a three-bedroom bungalow and a sum of N50 million for leading the team to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco,” the statement read.
