Video: Fire breaks out at Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital

A fire erupted on Thursday at the General Hospital located in Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos.

The blaze affected sections of the facility’s three-story building, causing considerable alarm among residents and visitors to the hospital.
Videos posted on social media depicted thick smoke rising from the hospital, as bystanders urged for immediate help.
A Facebook user named Modinat Melemuku shared a video from the scene and called for assistance, stating, “Currently happening at General Hospital Ifako-Ijaiye, College Road. Please share. Help is needed.”
Witnesses expressed concern that nursing mothers and their infants might be trapped inside the building, although no fatalities had been reported at the time of this writing.
