Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has warned that the ongoing protests calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu could “Very soon get out of hand if they don’t do something about releasing Nnamdi Kanu.”

Sowore described the gatherings as peaceful yet determined, underscoring their core message, “the focus is on bringing Nnamdi Kanu home.”
He asserted, “Today will be different, and nobody can stop the spirit that has now been awoken, this is to ensure that we bring our brother home.”
He concluded with a strong plea for national unity and respect for citizenship rights: “In this country we all deserve a right to be citizens, if you don’t want Nigerians to be citizens in their country, let those people who want to go.”
