Video: Fubara attends burial of Wike’s uncle in Rivers

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, was present on Saturday, at the funeral of his uncle in Rumuepirikom, located within the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He was accompanied at the service by Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended Governor of Rivers State, as well as Martins Amaewhule, the suspended Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, along with other notable figures.
Their attendance comes shortly after attempts to address the ongoing political turmoil in the state.
Wike on Thursday, declared the end of his prolonged political rift with Fubara.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday night after a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Wike said the reconciliation was the outcome of a peace initiative brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
