Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has set social media alight with a spirited chant dedicated to President Bola Tinubu during the inauguration of a major road project on Wednesday, just a day after defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a video, Fubara rallies supporters at the Ahoada-Omoku Road dual carriageway extension launch in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA with a catchy Pidgin chant, “If you Dey support Tinubu, no follow corner corner. We support Tinubu, we no Dey follow corner corner.”

This chant—a clear message of bold, open support—came just as Fubara officially aligned himself with President Tinubu’s administration, signaling a major realignment of Rivers State politics away from his former PDP ally and predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

During his speech, Fubara emphasised his commitment to advancing the “Renewed Hope” agenda stating, “Let it be very clear to everyone that the Renewed Hope agenda is here with a vigor than you can imagine. We’re out, we are ready to drive it to every door in / Every local government area of Rivers State.”
