Galatasaray celebrated the grand unveiling of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen at Rams Park, Istanbul, marking his permanent €75 million transfer from Napoli, the most expensive in Turkish football history.

The event was highlighted by a unique cultural fusion, featuring a personalized Afrobeat track dedicated to Osimhen, blending his Nigerian roots with his football stardom.

Osimhen, who dazzled fans during a previous loan spell by scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances and leading Galatasaray to a domestic double, was welcomed with an elaborate ceremony that included music celebrating his arrival.

The Afrobeat song underscores Osimhen’s rising global influence not only as a football icon but also in music, reflecting his cameo in Nigerian Afrobeat artist Nasboi’s recent music video.

The signed three-year contract, with an optional fourth year, sees Osimhen join alongside other marquee signings like Leroy Sané as Galatasaray prepares a strong squad for the UEFA Champions League.

The unveiling at Rams Park was attended by jubilant fans and club officials, emphasizing Osimhen’s importance to the club’s ambitions on and off the pitch.

Galatasaray’s project aims to build on last season’s success as Osimhen commits his future to Istanbul, having turned down lucrative offers from Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabia.
