Peter Obi’s running mate in the last general election, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has expressed unequivocal support for former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s confrontational stance against the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking on the ongoing crises within the PDP, in an interview with Channel Television, Baba-Ahmed stated, “I welcome the power to still remain in the south. Wike is justified to destroy that party (PDP) if he wants to, because what they did to him was very bad.”

Baba-Ahmed’s comment comes amid escalating tensions within the PDP, particularly concerning Wike’s strained relationship with key party figures.

The FCT Minister has been vocal about alleged injustices and marginalisation within the party’s leadership, which have contributed to fracturing alliances and discontent among members.
