A video circulating online shows Baci preparing a test batch of the popular West African dish in a massive, custom-built pot.

The footage, shared widely ahead of the official event, shows Baci surrounded by a team of helpers and spectators as she works.

The official record attempt is scheduled for September 12, 2025, at Muri Okunola Park in Lagos.

The event, named the “Gino World Jollof Festival,” will be a celebration of West African cuisine, music, and culture.

The festival is free to attend and will feature live performances.

Baci, who shot to international fame with her 2023 record for the longest cooking marathon, has described the new project as more than just an attempt to break another record, framing it as a cultural event for all to enjoy.
