Manchester United forward, Mason Mount has expressed optimism about surpassing his previous peaks, crediting a strong preseason and regained match rhythm for his resurgence.
In a recent interview, the England international reflected on his challenging years marked by injuries and setbacks.
He stated, “I think I’m getting there. I think I’m getting close to really being back to that. Now with all my experience and the experiences that I’ve been through, it can be higher than before.”
Mount highlighted the difficulties of the past, “Over the last couple of years, it’s been difficult to get even closer to that level. Just no rhythm, no momentum. Yeah, with the rhythm and setbacks.”
Now, with consistent minutes under his belt, he feels primed for a breakthrough.
“But now I’ve obviously had a really good pre-season and a lot of games, a lot of minutes in the legs. For me, I feel like I’m getting close to being back,” he added.
