The YBNL boss had sent the track to Davido, who now reflects on the missed collaboration with some regret.

Davido expressed his surprise at how the song became a major success without him, highlighting the unpredictable nature of hit-making in the music industry.

“I was sent the song by the Nigeria rapper (Olamide) but I didn’t take it seriously at the time. I just slept on it, and the song became a cultural hit in Nigeria, it’s legendary, bro, I almost have hypertension Davido said, acknowledging the missed chance to be part of one of Olamide’s iconic tracks.

This revelation sheds light on the behind-the-scenes decisions that shape the Nigerian music scene and the occasional missed opportunities even top artists face.
