This marks a clear stance from the president amid ongoing political tensions, signaling his refusal to intervene in opposition affairs.
He thereby urged political parties worried about losing members to concentrate on resolving their internal issues instead of attributing their difficulties to external factors.
The president rejected allegations that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is attempting to destabilise opposition parties, stating that such concerns are unfounded.
He further indicated that he would not engage with the crises within the opposition nor offer assistance in resolving their issues, expressing satisfaction at witnessing the disarray among opposition parties.
He said, “Political parties fearful of members leaving may be better served by examining their internal processes and affairs rather than fearfully conjuring up demons that do not exist.
“For me, I would say try your best to put your house in order. I will not help you do so. It is, indeed, a pleasure to witness you in such disarray.”
