In her recent podcast episode of Toke Moments, she jokingly said she’d consider being even a fifth wife if the opportunity presents itself.
She said, “At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again, as a second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it.”
In a previous episode, she reflected on past marriage to Maje Ayida, which ended in divorce in 2017 due to alleged infidelity.
Toke Makinwa, who turned 40 last year, admitted the situation “always made me tear up.”
She thereby emphasised that she’s focused on accomplishments and the surrounding love rather than societal pressures about being single and childless at 40.
“I am 40, I am single, and I am childless. I said it, and I didn’t die, and that always made me tear up. I used to feel like, how am I 40 and I don’t have a child? How am I 40 and I single? How am I 40, and I am alone? Listen, if I am completely honest with you guys, if I had gotten married again, I would have been divorced. Because the lessons never stop,” she added.
