This visit follows a brutal assault on the community that resulted in over 100 deaths and widespread destruction, including homes and farmlands set ablaze by suspected armed herdsmen.

The attack, which occurred late Friday into early Saturday, left many injured and thousands displaced, with survivours recounting horrific scenes of families burnt alive and buildings razed.

Security forces reportedly engaged the attackers in gunfire, with some assailants killed during the confrontation.

The IGP’s presence alongside the CDS underscores the federal government’s commitment to restoring peace and providing support to the victims amidst ongoing tensions in the region between farmers and herders.

Meanwhile, community leaders expressed their grief and called for increased security measures to prevent further violence.
