Amid escalating tensions in the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict, a large crowd gathered in Isfahan’s Imam Square rallied defiantly after reported airstrikes by American and Israeli fighter jets targeted the nearby governor’s office.

Video footage shared by Iran’s state-run Tehran Times shows protesters waving flags beneath the iconic Imam Mosque, chanting “Death to America!”
The post claims the “revolutionary people stayed in the square” despite the attack, portraying the event as a display of national resilience.
The incident unfolds against a backdrop of heightened hostilities that intensified in early March 2026.
It follows Iran’s strikes on regional targets and the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader after his father’s death in prior bombings.
Iranian state media emphasises the crowd’s perseverance, but international outlets report significant casualties, including eight deaths in Isfahan, and damage to nearby UNESCO-protected cultural heritage sites.
