Video: Iranians form human chains on bridges, infrastructure to shield against impending US, Israeli strikes

Iranian citizens are mobilising nationwide, forming human chains on bridges and around critical infrastructure like power plants to protect key sites from potential U.S. and Israeli military strikes.
Footage shows crowds assembling on a major bridge, waving enormous national flags and holding signs pledging “sacrifice for the homeland.”
Participants link arms in long chains, presenting a human barrier to deter attacks on vital assets.
This grassroots effort follows a public call from an Iranian official urging “youth, students, and citizens to create human chains around power plants and key sites” ahead of threatened strikes.
The displays come amid escalating tensions, with U.S.-Israeli operations targeting Iranian facilities since late February 2026.
The actions also respond to fresh ultimatums from U.S. President Donald Trump, who on Sunday posted a stark warning on social media demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz – a vital global oil chokepoint.
In the post, Trump wrote, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
Dailyeconomy reports the provocative message has heightened fears of imminent escalation, as Iranian civilians take to the streets in a show of defiance and defence.
