Fuji music legend, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate or Kwam 1, has publicly apologised once again during his first performance since the widely publicised ValueJet plane incident at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja on August 5, 2025.

The apology came at the Ayangburen’s 10th Coronation Anniversary, where K1 tendered deep regrets to President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, and all Nigerians.

The incident involved K1 drinking from a flask suspected by airline staff to contain alcohol—an item banned on flights—which led to a confrontation that delayed a ValueJet flight and subsequent suspension of two ValueJet pilots by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) due to breaches of safety protocols during the plane’s departure.

Addressing the crowd emotionally, K1 acknowledged his fault and expressed shame over the disruption caused, insisting the liquid was merely water prescribed by his doctor for health reasons. He appealed for forgiveness from the President, the Aviation Ministry, airline staff, passengers, and his fans both locally and internationally.
