American streamer, YouTube sensation and internet personality Kai Cenat received a VIP welcome in Lagos State on his second visit, meeting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina, to discuss initiatives for kids and young people.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Jubril Gawat, announced the courtesy visit on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today received American Online Streamer, YouTube and Internet Personality @KaiCenat on a Courtesy Visit at the Lagos House, Marina.”
Gawat highlighted Cenat’s enthusiasm, noting, “He shared some of his very nice experiences he has enjoyed visiting Lagos, this is his second visit to the State.”
He revealed that the streamer is in town to advance projects aimed at empowering Lagos youth, blending global digital influence with local impact.
Video footage from the event captured warm hugs, cultural exchanges—including custom royal house caps gifted to Cenat—and his visible excitement over massive crowds and the city’s vibrant energy.
Cenat praised Sanwo-Olu as a “strong leader,” underscoring Lagos’ rising star in global youth culture and challenging stereotypes of urban chaos.
