Video: Kano set to offer amnesty to 718 repentant thugs

The Kano State Government has revealed its intention to provide amnesty to 718 reformed political thugs as part of its new “Safe Corridor” initiative.

This program is designed to tackle the challenges of political thuggery and youth unrest in the state.

At the launch of the initiative held at the Kano State Police Command headquarters, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi-Waiya, representing Governor Abba Yusuf, announced that 718 young individuals have already been identified for participation in the program

He states, “As you can see we have started the commencement of granting amnesty to these youths and I am hoping after the filling by the Police, the next stage is for the NDLEA to make sure that they are mentally and physically healthy and afterwards they would be subjected into rehabilitation.

“There are some who would be out in no time and also some who would have to be rehabilitated and I am hoping that His Excellency would provide all necessity to us for the youths as soon as possible
