Video: LAGESC arrests woman for Illegal dumping on Iyanaba median

The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) apprehended 30-year-old Sarah for illegally dumping refuse on the median at Iyanaba.
The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, described act as reckless and harmful to ongoing efforts to keep Lagos clean and prevent flooding.
He therefore warned that dumping waste on road medians or public spaces is a serious offense, stressing that those caught will face immediate arrest and prosecution.
“This morning, operatives of @LAGESCOfficial arrested 30-year-old Sarah for illegally dumping refuse on the median at Iyanaba. This reckless act undermines our efforts to maintain a clean and flood-free Lagos.
“Let this serve as a clear warning: dumping waste on road medians or public spaces is a punishable offense. Offenders will face immediate arrest and prosecution,” Wahab had written.
