The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps have arrested eight alleged phone snatchers during a morning raid in Mile 2, authorities confirmed.

Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared a video of the suspects with the caption, “8 miscreants snatching phones on pedestrian of Mile 2 were earlier today arrested during morning raid by the operatives of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps.”

The suspects, named as Mr. Anthony Osinachi (21), Mr. Victor Onuoha (45), Mr. Rowland Ede (25), Mr. Daniel Chisom (24), Mr. Emmanuel Chukwu (35), Mr. Ogbonnaya Uchechi (18), Mr. Godday Eke (28), and Mr. Benjamin G (30), are now in custody pending further investigations.

This swift action by the Corps reflects Lagos State’s ongoing commitment to public safety and curb street crimes in its bustling commercial districts.
