This enforcement operation started right after the notice lapsed, with the goal of reinstating order and enhancing cleanliness along this heavily trafficked stretch.
This information was made known in a statement on Monday by the Lagos Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.
It reads, “Following a 24-hours vacation notice given to illegal traders selling rams on the road median at Alaba Rago, the joint operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial and the Lagos Waste Management Agency #Lawma_gov commenced the cleanup of the entire road median.
“This exercise will be followed by a standby monitoring and enforcement team to ensure that sanity is restored to this area.”
