The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the ongoing removal of illegal street traders at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2.
In a video accompanying the operation, Wahaba stated, “Our enforcement team is currently dislodging illegal street traders constituting nuisance at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2.”
He emphasised the impact of these traders, noting that “these activities obstruct traffic flow, endanger pedestrians, and litter the environment.”
Wahaba reaffirmed the government’s dedication to public safety and cleanliness, declaring, “We remain committed to keeping our roads safe, clean, and free of all forms of environmental infractions.”
The enforcement action is part of a continuous effort to enhance urban living conditions in Lagos under the campaign hashtags #CleanerLagos and #GreaterLagos.
