Wahab in a statement on Thursday claimed that the clearance aimed at restoring order and improving environmental sanitation.

“Clearance operations are currently ongoing at Lakowe,” the Commissioner stated alongside compelling video evidence.

He further explained that the team is actively “removing illegal shanties, makeshift structures, and roadside trading points obstructing drainage and pedestrian movement.”

The operation also includes strict enforcement targeting street traders and environmental sanitation offenders within the area.

The initiative is part of the broader #CleanerLagos campaign to enhance urban living conditions and public safety.
