Video: Lagos police implement strong presence ahead of LG elections

The Lagos State police command has increased its visibility in preparation for the upcoming Local Government Elections.

This operation is designed to uphold law and order and to prevent any potential disturbances to daily activities and businesses.

Previously, the Lagos State Police Command had adjusted the timing for restrictions on vehicle and waterway movement in anticipation of the Saturday, July 12, 2025, Local Government elections.

Voting will take place across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.

In a statement released on Thursday, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, noted that movement restrictions will now be in effect from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, rather than the previously stated hours of 3:00 am to 3:00 pm.
