Wahab stated, “Our enforcement team conducted the removal of illegal structures built along the Jebba/Kano collector, Ebute Metta. These encroachments have obstructed the free flow of stormwater and contributed to flooding in the axis.”

He further appealed to residents to respect drainage rights of way by avoiding building or extending structures that compromise public infrastructure, emphasizing, “Protecting our drains is protecting lives and property.”

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Lagos State government to ensure a #CleanerLagos and better manage environmental risks associated with unregulated constructions.
