Lagos is set to host the E1 Lagos GP, which will showcase the future of watersports on October 4th and 5th, 2025, at the Lagos Lagoon. This event promises an exciting display of speed, innovation, and the city’s vibrant spirit.
In a post on X by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the significance of the event was emphasized, along with the strong backing from key government officials.
He quoted Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Commissioner for Tourism, and Sam Egube, the Deputy Chief of Staff, who remarked, “Visitors will discover more than a race, they’ll discover Lagos and experience the future of watersports in the heart of Africa.”
The E1 Lagos GP aims to position Lagos on the global watersports stage, drawing both local and international audiences, while providing a vibrant platform for tourism, innovation, and sporting excellence.
