Video: Lagos taskforce nabs 84 during cleanup operation

The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce on Friday, carried out a coordinated enforcement operation in the Agege area as part of its ongoing cleanup initiative.

The state Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a statement on Friday said the Taskforce focused on several locations including the Railway corridor at Ojurin, Isale Oja, Oke Koto, AP junction, and other adjoining streets where the presence of suspected criminal elements had been observed.

During the exercise, a total of 84 individuals were arrested, comprising 82 males and 2 females.

He wrote, “Lagos State Environmental Taskforce on Friday, 20th june, 2025 embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation in Agege area.

“The areas visited during the operation includes; Railway corridor(Ojurin) Isale Oja, Oke koto, AP in Agege area and other adjoining streets where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed.

“During the raid exercise, a total number of 84 suspects were arrested which comprises 82 males and 2 females.

“All the Suspects will be charged to court accordingly.”
