This state-of-the-art facility is designed to prevent flooding in vulnerable neighbourhoods such as Oroyinyin, Aro Loya, Adeniji Adele, and other parts of Lagos Island, ensuring communities remain dry during heavy rains.
The Commissioner emphasised the importance of the project, stating, “Seeing it work firsthand reinforces our commitment: no neighborhood left vulnerable to floods.
“We’re engineering a safer future for Lagos – an evolving Lagos State! Your safety is non-negotiable. Infrastructure like this is how we deliver it.”
This development marks a significant step forward in Lagos State’s efforts to enhance urban resilience and protect residents from the devastating effects of seasonal flooding.
