The Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially launched the ambitious OMI EKO Project, aimed at transforming the city’s waterways into cleaner, safer, and smarter transportation routes.
In a statement shared on Sunday via X while escorting the launch video, the Governor said, “With the launch of the OMI EKO Project, we’re transforming our waterways into cleaner, safer, and smarter routes for everyone.
“We are redefining mobility in Lagos with electric ferries, dredged channels, and modern terminals to power a more connected city.”
This initiative marks a significant step toward sustainable urban mobility, integrating advanced technology and infrastructure upgrades to enhance commuter experience across Lagos’ waterways.
