London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, is making his inaugural official trip to Nigeria and Africa since assuming office.

During his visit, Khan stressed his dedication to enhancing the relationship between the UK capital and one of Africa’s most energetic and swiftly growing cities.

As mentioned in a statement on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Khan participated in various events and meetings designed to strengthen partnerships in crucial sectors.

He praised the “fantastic” accomplishments seen in Lagos’s lively culture, creativity, technology, and sustainability domains.

The statement continues, “I visited Lagos this week to strengthen ties between London and one of Africa’s fastest growing cities.

“Fantastic to celebrate so many achievements in culture, creativity, tech & sustainability, while championing new trade & investment opportunities between our two great cities.”
