With three fixtures looming, including a rare midweek clash, Amorim underscored the need for squad rotation and long-term team development.

“We have three games this week. We have quality players and we need to rotate to try to win every game,” Amorim told reporters.

“It is a normal thing that happens in other clubs.”

Reflecting on Manchester United’s recent performances in the Champions League, Amorim admitted, “I think we were not prepared to play in Europe. That is my feeling.”

He explained the challenges of balancing the intensity of Champions League fixtures with the high demands of the Premier League.

“To have strong games in the Champions League and then play in the Premier League, we need time to develop as a team. We need time to prepare for every game. The games are really competitive,” he added.

Looking ahead, Amorim expressed optimism about the team’s progress stressing, “We need time to build the base and then, in the future, to move forward.”
