He said candidly in a recent interview, “I know what he meant to everyone here. I try to make the same thing, because for me to win against four Division team, it’s always the same responsibility.”

Acknowledging the challenge ahead, Ruben highlighted the team’s current unbeaten stretch at home but admitted, “We do. We are not winning there for a while, so we want to change that.”

Addressing concerns about player fitness and jet lag due to international duty, he reassured fans, “The guys that went to national teams, they are ready, some of them played in Japan. So we have to address the jet lag and all these things. But they are ready, and they are really confident.”

Ruben is optimistic about his squad’s development this season. “We are a better team this year. So the most important thing is the way we are going to play the game, and then the rest. We have the talent to win games, but we need to be aggressive. We need to be different than we showed against City, for example,” he said.

Despite respecting Liverpool’s strength, he remains focused on his own team: “Of course, we pay a lot of attention from the opponents, especially opponents that won the league but my focus is on my team so I just want to see my team playing the way we want to play.”
