Video: Many feared trapped as Lagos building under construction collapses

Chaos broke out in the Ota-Ona neighbourhood of Ikorodu, Lagos State, following the collapse of an unfinished two-story building on Monday afternoon, with many feared to be trapped under the debris.

Rasheed Fatuga, a Facebook user who raised the alarm, reported that the half-constructed building, situated directly across from the Mobil Filling Station (formerly Bugon Filling Station) in the Ota-Ona area, collapsed earlier in the day, trapping an unknown number of individuals.
As of this report, five survivors have been rescued, but the exact number of those still trapped remains unclear.
Rescue operations are currently in progress, with emergency responders diligently searching through the wreckage.
The cause of the collapse has yet to be officially identified.
