Video: Maryland Lagos flood video sparks controversy as Commissioner denies claim

A video circulating on X, posted by Emmaikumeh, showed a flooded area claimed to be Maryland, Lagos, with the caption: “Current situation at Maryland, Lagos. Omo.”

However, this claim was strongly refuted by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab who tweeted back, “This is a LIE!” The exchange has sparked debate about the flooding situation in the area.
