The National Assembly has officially backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the upcoming 2027 general election.

During the APC National Summit at the Presidential Villa, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, along with House of Representatives Speaker Tajudden Abbas, announced their unified decision to support Tinubu’s candidacy for re-election.
Akpabio initiated the motion for Tinubu’s endorsement, which was seconded by Abbas.
Although President Tinubu is currently in the midst of his first term, discussions about his re-election are already intensifying within the political arena.
