Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered a clandestine laboratory producing Colorado, a synthetic cannabis strain, in a residential building at Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos.

The raid according to a statement by NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, led to the arrest of 30-year-old Stephen Kelechi Imoh, the lab owner, alongside the seizure of freshly made Colos and precursor chemicals.

Babafemi said the NDLEA’s months-long intelligence effort was triggered by earlier interceptions of freshly produced Colos consignments in Lagos, signaling local production of this dangerous psychoactive drug that was previously imported.

On October 30, 2025, the agency raided the operation, seizing:
• 16.2 kg of freshly cooked Colos
• 1.7 kg of ADB-CHMNACA Cannabinol
• 4.5 kg of Potassium Carbonate
• 91 liters of Dibromobutane

In a separate Lagos operation on November 1, NDLEA arrested 28-year-old drug dealer Afeez Salisu (alias Malu) in Mushin, recovering 16 compressed blocks of Ghana Loud cannabis and 16.4 kg of designer Colorado products.

Also on October 30, music artist Godspower George Osahenrumwen, known as Steady Boy, was arrested while attempting to receive a large shipment of Loud cannabis concealed inside bathtubs imported from New York.

NDLEA Chairman and CEO Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) commended the agency’s officers nationwide for their dedication, stating, “The Agency will continue to target and dismantle every identified drug syndicate in any part of Nigeria while denying them the benefits of their criminal trade by ensuring forfeiture of all traceable assets to the Federal Government.”
