The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a Honda Civic loaded with thousands of tramadol pills smuggled from Benin Republic into Nigeria.

The seizure took place in Yola, Adamawa State, after the driver bypassed multiple security checks.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi shared details on X alongside a video of the operation, stating, “This Honda Civic car was driven across the border from Benin Republic into Nigeria with several thousands of tramadol pills loaded into every available holes and the doors as well as boot compartments including the spare tyre.”

He added, “This must have made it possible for the driver to escape security checks all the way until he was busted by @ndlea_nigeria vigilant officers in Yola, Adamawa.”
