Video: NDLEA captures drugs hidden in plantain chip packages

Officials from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have intercepted a drug shipment hidden inside packages that were labeled as plantain chips at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

Femi Babafemi, the agency’s Public Relations Officer, shared this information on his X (formally Twitter) account on Sunday.

Babafemi urged Nigerians to be cautious when receiving packages for travel purposes.

In his post, he stated, “Narco-trend update: This consignment was packaged as plantain chips, but inside was a skunk, as discovered by vigilant #ndlea_nigeria officers in one of their latest seizures at Lagos airport.

“Always be careful of what you’re given to travel with!”
