This follows a prior interception where cocaine was hidden inside religious books also bound for Saudi Arabia.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed in post shared on his personal X (formally Twitter) handle that vigilant operatives uncovered the narcotics during a thorough search of outbound cargo in Lagos.
He wrote, “Barely a week after #ndlea_nigeria officers discovered parcels of cocaine in Saudi-bound religious books, the vigilant operatives have again intercepted tens of wraps of the same substance in bottles of body lotion heading the same route. Take a look 😳”
The NDLEA continues to intensify efforts against drug trafficking with multiple arrests and seizures across Nigeria in recent weeks.
