Video: NDLEA seizes lipsticks containing drugs at Lagos airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently confiscated a shipment of women’s lipsticks filled with illegal substances at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi revealed the interception on Sunday through his X account, advising Nigerians, particularly women, to exercise heightened vigilance when buying or accepting cosmetics from unfamiliar or dubious suppliers.
Babafemi wrote, “Ladies beware! It does appear like female lipstick is becoming attractive as an instrument for concealment and trafficking now with yet another consignment of factory fitted female lipsticks stuffed with illicit substances intercepted at MMIA barely a week after #ndlea_nigeria officers uncovered a similar cargo at a courier company in Lagos.”
