In a statement shared on X, NEMA said, “The Search and Rescue Department of NEMA has extended its public enlightenment efforts to the education sector with a training session for students of Lead British International School.”
Held at the school’s Hall of Fame, the program was organised after the agency received an invitation to teach Basic First Aid, Disaster Management, and Safety in Public Areas.
NEMA officers, working alongside the Nigerian Red Cross Society, led practical demonstrations and interactive sessions aimed at equipping students with skills to manage emergencies around them.
Highlighting the program’s importance, NEMA stated, “The training is part of our continuous drive to promote a culture of safety and preparedness among young people, equipping them with lifesaving skills and knowledge to act appropriately during emergencies.”
