Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has declared on Friday that Israel, backed by the United States, will relentlessly target Iran and its proxy Hezbollah, claiming significant blows to Tehran’s military and industrial might.
In a Passover message to the nation, Netanyahu highlighted joint operations that have “destroyed 70% of Iran’s steel production capacity — which is a tremendous achievement that includes also financial resources and the ability to produce many types of weapons.”
He added, “Together with our American friends, we continue to cut off the terror proxies in Iran. We eliminate commanders, bomb bridges, bomb infrastructure.”
Netanyahu emphasised full coordination with President Trump, stating, “In full cooperation between me and President Trump, between the Israel Defense Forces and the United States, we will continue to crush Iran.”
He described the Iranian regime as “weaker than ever” while asserting “Israel is stronger than ever.”
The remarks follow late March 2026 airstrikes on major Iranian steel plants and other facilities, aimed at crippling production of missiles, drones, and nuclear-related materials.
Netanyahu also addressed Hezbollah, saying, “From Lebanon, we are continuing to hit Hezbollah hard. We’re continuing to expand our security line in order to protect northern settlements.”
Closing on a holiday note amid ongoing operations, he told Israelis and military personnel, “I would like to congratulate you, citizens of Israel, to be blessed with a good Passover. And to your commanding officers even at night — keep doing this, keep standing up on Seder night. Keep doing it. With God’s help we’ll win again. May God bless you. Happy holidays.”
