Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has defended Israel’s aggressive stance against Iran, drawing a contrast with North Korea’s nuclear program.

Speaking amid escalating tensions, Netanyahu argued that Iran’s explicit threats justify preemptive action, unlike Pyongyang’s relative silence toward the United States.

“And we have to understand that. We’re fighting here. We’re fighting the bad guys. We’re the good guys,” Netanyahu noted, portraying Israel as defenders against existential threats.

He warned of Iran’s ambitions, stating, “Imagine these people who chant ‘Death to America’ if they had ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads to deliver to every American city. Do you want to wait? Do you wanna bet your future on whether they would do it or they would not?”

Netanyahu pointed to North Korea as a cautionary tale, “I mean, look, nobody stopped North Korea, so they now have ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads. But they don’t say ‘Death to America.’”

He escalated the rhetoric by calling Iran “50 North Koreas,” adding, “Iran is committed to your destruction.”

The comments come during heightened Israel-Iran hostilities, following US-Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and recent Iranian drone attacks that killed six U.S. service members.

Netanyahu asserted the conflict “won’t take years,” signalling readiness for swift resolution.
