United States Vice President JD Vance has issued a warning on Iran’s nuclear ambitions during a White House press event, declaring that Tehran cannot be allowed to acquire atomic weapons and citing fresh evidence of their efforts to rebuild such a program.

“The principle is very simple: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Vance stated firmly.

“If they try to rebuild a nuclear weapon, that will be a problem for us. In fact, we’ve seen evidence that they have tried to do exactly that.”

The comments reinforce the Trump administration’s hardline posture against Tehran, coming amid renewed diplomatic talks in Geneva and recent U.S. strikes on Iranian sites.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reports have shown no active weaponisation by Iran since 2009, though the U.S. maintains vigilance.
